From October 10-14, 2021, the 25th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (µTAS 2021) will be held as a
hybrid meeting for the first time in our conference's history. The in-person component -- held at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California, USA -- will be paired with a virtual conference site hosted on-line. In tandem with an on-site program, cutting edge technical solutions and live streaming tools, as well as early creation of community, will allow us to bring microTAS content and connections to attendees anywhere in the world.
After an historic period that highlights the impacts of scientific knowledge and international collaboration (and lack thereof), we see no better time to convene our global scientific community as we push our understanding forward to meet the rising demands of the 21st century.
µTAS 2021 continues an international Conference series that is the premier forum for reporting research results in microfluidics, microfabrication, nanotechnology, integration, materials and surfaces, analysis and synthesis, and detection technologies for the life sciences and chemistry. The Conference offers plenary and invited talks, expansive poster sessions, networking forums, and an array of industry exhibitions, as well as numerous contributed oral and poster presentations selected from submitted abstracts. Owing to the µTAS 2021 hybrid format, each aspect offers in-person and remote attendees the opportunity to share, learn, and engage.
Following Savannah in 2017, Kaohsiung 2018, Basel in 2019, and virtual format in 2020, we welcome you to California, an exciting hub for nano, bio, and medical research spanning from theory to design to application. We anticipate over 1000 scientists, trainees, and industry professionals from around the globe will once again share advances regarding integrated microsystems and nanotechnology for chemistry and life sciences.
Given the tremendous recent and historic upheaval, the µTAS 2021 mission is to advance the collective knowledge of the global research community by creating a welcoming and engaging forum for sharing, learning, and collaboration.
Regardless of how you choose to engage, we look forward to welcoming you to the µTAS 2021 hybrid conference during the week of October 10-14, 2021.
